For this project, I collaborated with renowned director Maja Kleczewska and students from the Theatre Academy in Warsaw. Alongside Sefa Sagir and Ben Pfisterer, we designed an interactive scenography where visuals responded to sound, offering both actors and audiences a new way to experience theatre.
We staged Solaris, inspired by Andrei Tarkovsky’s film, exploring how emerging technologies can reshape theatrical expression. For us, Solaris is about humanity’s struggle to communicate with the universe—a pursuit often hindered by our own subconscious. The planet’s living ocean mirrors this irony, conducting experiments based on visitors’ memories yet remaining unaware of their consequences. In the end, the universe withholds its secrets, leaving us with more questions than answers.
Our visual concept was inspired by a cytoplasmic ocean—organic yet surreal. We brought this vision to life through digital media, engaging the audience by creating an immersive, interactive visual experience.
